As water passes through air stripping towers, oxidized minerals and biological growth accumulate on the media. This media becomes fouled with solids reducing performance and capacity and increasing pressure in the air stripping tower. Blue Earth Labs has developed an in place process for cleaning air stripping media that removes deposits and restores performance. The process is less expensive than media exchange, does not require removing the media from the tower and can often be completed in one day. Blue Earth Labs air stripping cleaners, CSR™ (calcium scale remover) and CSR Plus™, are circulated through the tower. The spent product and dislodged deposits are disposed of to the sanitary sewer. This process is effective at removing organic and inorganic deposits including algae, biofilms, iron, manganese and calcium carbonate scale.
